Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Pinlance handles account, project, dataset, report, and optional Pinterest connection information.
Information we collect
We collect account information you provide, such as your email address, authentication state, project names, project inputs, imported dataset metadata, selected pins, generated reports, and basic usage information needed to operate Pinlance.
If you choose to connect a Pinterest account, Pinlance requests only the Pinterest permissions needed for the connected feature. Pinterest API access is optional and requires your authorization.
Pinterest data
Pinlance does not ask for or collect your Pinterest password, session cookies, or private credentials. Pinterest API credentials and access tokens must be kept private and are used only to provide features you authorize.
Pinterest developer guidelines restrict storing information accessed through Pinterest materials, including API data, except for permitted campaign analytics information. Pinlance is designed to minimize storage of Pinterest API data and to call the API when authorized access is needed.
Pinlance does not sell Pinterest API data, share it with advertising networks, or use it to target people outside Pinterest.
When you disconnect Pinterest
If you disconnect Pinterest from Pinlance, Pinlance stops making Pinterest API requests for your account and removes stored Pinterest access tokens from active use.
Pinterest-derived data that is only needed for the connected Pinterest feature is deleted or de-identified after disconnect unless we must keep limited records for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or to complete a deletion request.
Project notes, imported files, user-selected references, and AI reports that you created separately inside Pinlance may remain in your workspace until you delete them, because they are part of your Pinlance project history rather than live Pinterest account access.
How we use information
We use your information to authenticate you, create and manage projects, import and rank datasets, maintain selected analysis inputs, generate reports, provide support, improve reliability, and protect the service from abuse.
Generated reports may use project inputs, imported pin metadata, selected pin references, and prior report outputs. You control which pins are selected for analysis.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate Pinlance, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, and AI infrastructure providers, only as needed to provide the service.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate abuse or security issues.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account, project, dataset, and report information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete project data inside the product where deletion controls are available.
You may request account or data deletion by contacting us. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet service is perfectly secure, so you should use a strong password and keep API credentials private.
Do not submit secrets, passwords, session cookies, or sensitive personal data into project fields or imported datasets.
Your choices
You can choose not to connect Pinterest and use dataset import workflows instead. If you connect Pinterest, you can revoke access through Pinterest or the connected account controls when available.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information.
